WCL begins consultancy work on Cardiff Crossrail contract in support of TfW

Projects

Work has been underway for a month by WCL consultants to help manage and deliver the Cardiff Crossrail project, under a new contract with Transport For Wales.

WCL Director Nick Cole and WCL Senior Consultant Craig Philip are working to assist TfW in providing the right technical solutions and delivery mechanisms for this transformative project. Their assistance on management and engineering aspects of the project will continue all the way through to commissioning, meaning WCL will play a vital role in the delivery of a new cross-city rail network for Cardiff.

Cardiff Crossrail promises a future of sustainable travel and economic development for the wider city and the region beyond. £100m has been secured for the first phase of the project, which will significantly improve the railway network between the city centre and Cardiff Bay.

WCL was able to offer TfW its services as a specialist supplier due to the depth of its consultants’ expertise and skills in signalling consultancy, making WCL the right choice for this contract over a framework supplier.
