New WCL Hire: Richard Rowberry, Project Controls Director

Company News

The addition of Richard Rowberry FACM MAPM onto the leadership team at WCL Infrastructure as our Project Controls Director marks another transformational moment for the business.

With over 25 years’ experience in multidisciplinary infrastructure project controls, Rich is a true leader in this critical field. He’s facilitated major achievements across Europe, Asia and America, from subsea infrastructure for the $45bn Shah Deniz gas extraction mega-project to large projects for the likes of JGC, EDF, TCI, Baker Hughes and Transport for Wales.

Richard brings deep expertise across the full sphere of project controls services, including planning, risk analysis and forensic analysis. He has led controls teams of up to 15 people, and specialises in delivering interventions for problem programmes as well as maintaining effective ‘business as usual’ delivery for high profile works.

As the new Project Controls Director at WCL, he is spearheading the launch of our dedicated business unit: Quantum Controls, which aims to become the industry’s leading provider of modern project controls services by blending professional excellence with a new generation of AI-supported tooling.

Alongside that, Rich will be playing an important role in WCL’s growing ‘Right Track’ service, an accelerated and high-impact training pathway designed to supply the industry with talented management professionals in key skill gaps – including planning and project controls.

We look forward to working with Rich on these exciting workstreams, as well as sharing more information on Quantum Controls in the near future.
